Kimberly Guggenheim, MSSW
Registered Clinical Social Work Intern
Welcome to Building Zest for Couples and Families.
My name is Kimberly Guggenheim. I am a graduate of Columbia University, School of Social Work, Master of Science in Social Work program. My passion is to offer a careful assessment to design a robust therapeutic approach to support you to get more from your day and all aspects of your life. Therapy requires us to explore uncomfortable thoughts and feelings. My goal is to help you understand how normal that is to the therapeutic process and how brave people are for just showing up. I want to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to just be you. I want you to feel accepted and validated in sessions. We will work to uncover the unhelpful behavioral, emotional, cognitive and relational dynamics that can become exhausting to navigate and move toward more calm and deeper strength.
Therapy can be costly. I use peer reviewed, gold standard approaches for getting couples and families and social systems out of distress. I am able to offer sliding scale, while offering the clinical adeptness of a highly trained supervisor, as required by the state of Florida. Sometimes therapy requires substantive time. Sometimes therapy can be short term. We can partner together to create a treatment plan to pay homage to your needs and wants while discussing the time period in which it may take.
I offer a range of therapies which include trauma informed, culturally conscious, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Structural Family Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy and Play therapy interventions.
